Democracy Class

Civic Education for your Classroom

Each day, nearly 12,000 young people turn 18 – and we want to make sure they know how to register to vote and get informed about the political process. That’s why we launched Democracy Class, our fun and engaging high school civic education program.

By participating in this program, students will learn about the right to vote, the elections process, and the power young people have in our democracy.

Democracy Class is a fun, interactive, 45- or 90-minute lesson plan that uses video, a discussion and a mock election exercise to equip young people with the skills and information they need to navigate the elections process and participate as citizens.

Thanks to passionate educators from across the country, over 3,000 schools in all 50 states have taught Democracy Class. Hundreds of elected officials and celebrities have joined students and educators to register thousands of students. We need your help to keep this up!
