Sarah Burris was raised in Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in English Creative Writing with a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies. Burris is a contributing writer for Wiretap Magazine and has spent the last few years working as a fundraiser on campaigns in Oklahoma, Kansas, California, and Nevada, and more recently as a development director for civic youth organizations. Stemming from her strongly held beliefs and devout faith, Burris's concerns include global human rights and the ever-increasing wage disparity in the US.
