Rock the Trail Entry Guidelines
Applicant must:
- Submit a complete application by May 7th
- Be 18 to 29 years old
- Have previous journalism, reporting and/or documentary experience
- Be a U.S. citizen who currently resides in the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia
Selection Criteria:
Rock the Trail reporters will be selected based on:
- Creativity and originality of written responses
- Ability to write in a clear, concise manner
- Energy and enthusiasm for young voters role in 2008 election
- Commitment to write and submit two blog entries weekly, and two articles monthly
- Willing and able to travel to and report from major events
- Availability to attend Rock the Trail Training during the weekend of June 6th
Winners will be notified in mid-May.

Rock the Vote and WireTap Magazine reserve the right to make the final decision on reporters selected to participate in Rock the Trail. All entries become property of Rock the Vote and WireTap Magazine, and we reserve the right to feature applicant’s video, digital photo, article or podcast submissions in any future publication, on our websites and on partner websites, etc.
