Ohio Events

There are big elections across Ohio in 2010. And we want you to be part of the movement to get young people registered to vote and back to the polls this year! Rock the Vote is going to register tens of thousands of voters at concerts and festivals, bars and block parties, on campus and off. We can't do it alone. We need your help.

Here are a few upcoming events in the Columbus area. To sign up, simply fill out the form to the right and check the volunteer events you can attend and click submit. Someone will contact you to confirm.

Red, White, and BOOM!
Friday, July 2
Downtown Riverfront and the Arena District, Columbus, OH
Come celebrate the July 4th weekend with Red, White, and BOOM! Downtown Columbus hosts Ohio's most exciting Independence Day celebration with plenty of activities, concerts, food, and drinks. Show your July 4th spirit by helping Rock The Vote register voters and then stick around for the state's best fireworks!

Upper Arlington Independence Day Celebration and Party in the Park
Saturday, July 3
Come Rock The Vote in Upper Arlington during Saturday morning's parade along Northwest Blvd and the evening's fireworks celebration in Northam Park and see Upper Arlington's community spirit shine as we enjoy the festivities and register people to vote!

Doo Dah Parade
Sunday, July 4
Celebrate liberty and lunacy with Doo Dah Parade and Party in the Short North. Known as the craziest parade in history, the Doo Dah Parade features an Off the wall range of mischiefs, grounded super heroes, political debacles, homegrown satirists, and other bohemian frolickers. You won't want to miss out on an opportunity to register voters here. Then, stick around to share democracy alongside of bands, food, and fun at the Doo Dah Party that night!

4th of July Festival at Whetstone Park of Roses, Clintonville, OH

If you still haven't had your fill of fireworks, the Festival at Whetstone Park in Clintonville will fix that! One of the most spectacular ways to cap off your July 4th weekend, the Festival at Whetstone Park will also be a great time to give back and help Rock The Vote register people to vote on the 4th of July.
